2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted on servers of STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany, located in data centres within the European Union. The technical operation of the website is carried out on our behalf by mec – Privatinstitut für Wirtschaftsdynamik GmbH, Büchelstr. 5–7, 66538 Neunkirchen, Germany.

Each time a page is requested, the web server automatically records the following data in log files: IP address, date and time of the request, requested page, amount of data transferred, HTTP status code, referring page and browser/operating system information (user agent). This is technically necessary to deliver the website, to ensure its security and stability, to analyse errors and to defend against misuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The log data is not combined with other data and is automatically deleted after 14 days.

The hosting provider and the technical operator process data only on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions (data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR). Personal data is not transferred to countries outside the European Union / European Economic Area in the course of hosting.

3. Cookies, tracking and third-party content

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, tracking, advertising or social media plug-ins. Fonts, images and scripts are loaded exclusively from our own server; no data is sent to third parties when you open a page. For this reason we do not display a cookie banner.

The website contains links to external websites (for example LinkedIn and websites of our partners). The links only lead to these sites when you click on them; from that point on, the privacy policy of the respective operator applies. We have no influence on the data processing of third parties.

4. Contact and Fridays for Franchising©

If you contact us by email or telephone, or register for or enquire about an event such as Fridays for Franchising©, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, company, email address, telephone number and the content of your message) to answer your request, to prepare and conduct the event and to follow up on the contact. The legal basis is the performance of (pre-)contractual measures (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Email is processed by our email provider STRATO GmbH.

We delete your data as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected, unless statutory retention periods (e.g. under commercial and tax law) require longer storage.
